” Pudu Prison, or better known as Pudu Jail, was built on the site of a former Chinese burial ground. Pudu was by then a dense jungle area, with tigers occasionally roaming around. Construction began in 1891, using convicts as workforce. It took about four years and was finally complete in 1895………”

Graffiti from Sydney

Recently my friend sent me a few photos of some graffiti taken near a railway line in Sydney with a poser – is graffiti art or vandalism? Hmm, food for thoughts!

Graffiti from Pudu

Graffiti is a world-wide phenomenon, especially in big cities where the young and the restless could not find an outlet to express themselves. Kuala Lumpur, you can also see some graffiti works, especially around Bukit Bintang and Pudu area.  Here are some examples of graffiti  found outside the wall of Pudu Jail. They were painted there by some youths who are opposed to the tearing down of the century-old prison.
