Scout Motto

“Be Prepared.”

The BP House (Baden-Powell House) Malaysia. It was situated along Jalan Hang Jebat, Kuala Lumpur. It was a 4 storey building, with the offices at the 1st floor and there is a Scout Shop situated on the ground floor of the building. BP House was opened on the 5th January 1957 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the World Scouting Movement.

It also served as the headquarters for the Scout Movement of Malaysia. It was located near Petaling Street, within walking distance around city center.

In Malaysia, the Scouting movement began in Singapore in 1908 (some say 1910) by F.C. Sands (an English explorer), then spreading to other parts of the Straits Settlements.

Scout Promise (or Oath)

 On my honour, I promise to do my best:
 To do my duty to God, King and Country,
 To help others at all times,
 And to obey the Scout Law.
