Here are some rare glimpses into the interior of the infamous Pudu Prison of Kuala Lumpur, days before it was closed forever from the public’s eyes. From the corridors to the room cells, the whole structure of this century old prison painted a picture of gloom and doom.
Block D where the execution chamber was located. The hanging room was torn down, leaving a big gap when view from busy Jalan Pudu.
A fountain now left abandoned and broken.

The kitchen of the prison.
Corridors of despair and rooms of loneliness. The empty gap once housed the execution room where condemned men and women were hang for crimes committed.

Good job muddy estuary!
Your title so aptly describe the atmosphere of this dreadful place where countless of men and women were kept away to await their fate at the hangman’s noose.
One only need to trace the steps of these condemned people to understand their sorrows and sufferings. The message here, it never pays to indulge in crimes.
Have camera will travel! Keep up with your work.

Yes, when you go inside the building, you might have a 360′ changed. If we never see it , we may not believe what people or papers have said. If not becuase of the photos , i would never go in to explore. Imagine , how inmates can endure such a situation for a certain of period. Sigh !
